WizardCraft Download] [portable Edition]

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

About This Game WizardCraft is a fantasy-themed real-time strategy (RTS) game where players try to destroy AI opponents by collecting resources and creating an army. The game is played in a medieval setting with fantasy elements, where both sides have melee (knights), ranged (archers), aerial units (dragons), and spell casters (wizards). Most of the missions follow the pattern "collect resources, build buildings and units, destroy opponents". The game is played by building up a working economy to produce military units, and then going to war against AI enemies. Iron and coal is needed to produce weapons that are needed to 'recruit' soldiers, which in turn requires mines and food production. All buildings require wood and stone to build, and all peasants need living space, which results in a complex chain of infrastructure required before big armies may be produced. Upgrade points earned during combat can be used in the Castle to upgrade various units. The Castle is considered as the central hub in the game, if it is destroyed it's game over. WizardCraft currently contains 30 missions and two different skirmish modes, 'normal mode' and 'battle mode'. Battle mode is a quick mode which only uses two resources 'wood' and 'gold' to produce buildings and units, this allows players to quickly build an army so players can focus more on the attacking aspect of the game. Normal mode contains all 29 different resources available in the game and players must create a stable economy in addition to managing an army. Both skirmish modes can be further customized to increase the cap limit on buildings and units, as well as the stats of each individual unit, allowing players the freedom to play the game however they decide. The game's easy to use map editor also allows players to develop maps for use in the skirmish modes. Key Features Include: Over 30 missions; Skirmish mode containing over 50 different maps and a fast paced 'Battle' mode which allows players to focus more on attacking enemy players. Create your own skirmish maps with our easy to use map editor. 3 different difficulty levels. Real-time battles with up to 600 units. Take control of 12 different units, including archers, knights, cannons, wizards and dragons. 7aa9394dea Title: WizardCraftGenre: Indie, RPG, StrategyDeveloper:David MccuePublisher:David MccueRelease Date: 11 Mar, 2016 WizardCraft Download] [portable Edition] The sound effects are awful! But the rest is great so far, hopefully the developer will do an SFX update, PLEASE!. *Loads game up**Options appear**Turns sound down**No Button to go back**Try's Esc, Backspace, O and Delele"*Nothing happens**ALT + F4**Loads game up and goes on mission 1**Trys to move camera with WASD**Accidentally swap building selected** ALT +F4**Requests Refund*-10\/10 Would buy again. I love all things wizard, so I decided hey why not try this out since I loved the old warcraft right? Well.... get dragons, harass, invade with swordsmen and towers, then gg. Truth of the mater is, dragons are easeir and better to get than swordsman. So why not just get them? Get gold going before iron and bam win! Then iron to finis the game.Issues:-Asside from above, the AI is crap. My dragons are being attacked by the 1 archer. What do they do? Keep going on about thier buisness and don't attack the one attacking them. This makes you have to micro manage every squad all the time.-ultimate strategy above. Too long to get anything else and you cannot get simple easy units out quick. You cannot just build a barracks, you need armor AND weapons. It is quicker to get out dragons. So why get other units unless you plan to swarm and win?-bad design. No point in getting lower units is a major flaw.-too much to get started. You need a massive economy to do anything and basically need to have endgame stuff before you can play. Will have to spend about 15 min building\/preping before you can build your first military unit if you wana win...-No controll over peasants. Building walls is worthless since they will just cut the trees and no, you cannot stop them.Pros:-It has a good theme and a good idea, too bad the implimentation is not so good.-it is interesting for the first bit until you realize your two options, and if you cannot do them then you cannot win.-there can be different strategies if you involve wizards.... but dragon harass is still great. A mob of lowbie warrioirs with mages could be better than dragons, just the mobility and bs is hard to top.-A good concept is here, just wish the scaling on building units was better than what it is.. A snazzy little RTS!Pros:- Quite like that the map changes as the game progresses.- Dat mass deforestation.- Nice simple set of resources.Suggestions:- Would be nice to toggle units as guard or roam so that they don't just toddle off and die when an enemy walks past.- After constructing a "Blacksmith", the name of the building is then "Weapon Smith", which makes more sense as "Blacksmith" is a more general term.- If you're going to add multiple languages, a dictionary of dictionaries in C# is how I do it. <Language ID, <Unique ID, Text>>It's basically a nested lookup table where the "Unique ID" is the same for a specific string in different languages, so that when the "Language ID" changes the correct string is retrieved. It could get out of hand if you have hundreds of long dialogues, but if it's just UI elements it'd be fine, and it's the easiest thing to implement.- Would be nice to prioritize tasks for the unwashed.. So wizards are fun, and crafting is also fun. but can wizards craft? or are we crafting wizards? Even more important than this however: Is this a good game? read below to find out instead of reading through this nonsense and you'll see what I think.Pros:-The gameplay is quite fun and can be enjoyable watching your peasants running around doing their jobs.-Automation is indeed a thing. tear through resources and march out troops all without pressing a single button once it's finally set up. you still have to control the troops, so don't get lazy.-The graphics look fairly nice. I'm not a graphics \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665, but it fits the gameplay style.Ok, this section is a little empty in comparison, but honestly there's not much to say. It's got good points, but the bad points are a bit bigger and it's currently 1:13 for me. give me a break.Cons:-Controls are a bit messed up and not what you'd expect. For example the hotkey responses for the stone and iron mine are switched around. Also the champion comes prepared with a portable cannon for some reason. How he turns swords, shields and gold into a god damn cannon I will never know. Maybe he's a wizard.-Not much information is given about this game at all. it throws you in and says "have fun!". This can be enjoyable for games like dark souls however this is an rts, and I'd expect a bit more of a tutorial for hotkeys, controls etc. Even if it's just a side bar.-Difficulty is off the scale! Again, it works perfectly well for dark souls, however I can't get past mission 1 on casual. I'm figuring out how to train knights and bowmen, and at 20 minutes or so the enemy is engaging me with dragons, magicians and mounted archers. I tried it again just to check on normal difficulty, and they do the same stuff. practically zero difference.Score: 7\/10Reason:Like I said above, the game is fun. However I do believe a little more refinement and testing should go into this game before being sold like this. Hotkeys, Difficulty, Tutorial etc. should all be in a game such as this.I will point something out I've noticed recently however. What is it with developers using unity to code real time strategy recently? I mean it works but for a 2d game, there are a few programs out there that could make the game a bit better. Just an idle thought.. Pitiable trash crashes on attempts to load, with or without patch. Computer in use is 8GB RAM laptop capable of running DoTA2 at medium settings. Do not buy..
